hood stripe

Post by nomadhermet »

I completed painting the 72 and started the color sanding. The LT1 car has what is called a big block hood. There are no engine numbers on the hood only a decal for the LT1. The LT1 share a hood striping same as the big block hoods. A company phoenix graphics make a stencil for this stripe. Does any body have any experience with this?

I don't have any experience with stenciling, but I once saw a recommendation for this company http://www.stencilsandstripes.com/. I can't vouch for them though.

To be honest, unless you're going the NCRS route I'd use a vinyl decal if they're available. Much easier, similar final appearance, and a lot less chance of really messing something up.
Someday I'll finally be able to drive my Vette, but for now I'll just admire all the pieces... :willy:
