Photo Sharing Tutorial

Photobucket is no longer allowing images uploaded to their site to be shared on 3rd party websites for free. Other free photo hosting sites may ultimately choose to adopt a similar business model.
To address this the forum settings have been updated to allow photos to be attached directly to your post - linking to a third party website is no longer necessary. Photos may be up to 20 Mb and any dimension in size. The forum will resize them to no larger than 800 pixels on each side to reduce storage requirements.
The process of attaching photos is very simple. Simply create a new message and, near the bottom of the page, click the "Attachments" tab and then click the "Add Files" button.
Once you've clicked the "Add Files" button you'll be able to select your desired file. If the file size is too large you'll receive an error message and you'll need to resize the image before uploading. You can attach up to 10 images per post.
After selecting your image the file will be uploaded. You can view the status of the upload on the right side of the screen. Once the upload is complete the "Place Inline" button will appear. Simply click this button to insert the image into your post. Note that the image will be inserted wherever your cursor is.
The images will show in your post as a text link the same way they would have if you were using a third party hosting website. You can view the actual images in the body of your post by clicking the "Preview" button.
If you're replying to a post and want to include an attachment you'll need to click the "Full Editor and Preview" button beneath the quick reply box.
This should make sharing photos, and other file types such as PDFs, a lot easier. Let me know if you have any questions, or if you encounter problems.
