FYI, Based on a rolling date of 62 years, all military personnel records will eventually become archival records, open to the general public.

Tell us about your Corvette: 1971 Coupe that's been in the family since new. Was "stored" in a shed in New England for 22 years. Even though I have limited knowledge and experience, I'm SLOWLY doing a body off restoration. Standby for many questions!

When I first saw this, I thought that if I live to be older than 103, my SSAN will be out there for any scammer to abuse.

However, reading further it looks like they'd need my service number & name to request the records in the first place, so really there'd be no harm in that regard.

But, it still sort of sucks...
