Berrrrr. Thats cold

Post by vito »

The Northeast will have the coldest temperatures Friday night into Saturday morning, with ABC News forecasting record lows for Washington, D.C., New York City and Boston in the lower to middle 20s.

Wind chills will be even colder, teens and single digits will be in most of the New England and I-95 corridor

Good luck Tim :ack:

We had to pay for all that warm October sometime. We had the warmest October ever here in the Northeast. It was great for getting work done on the Corvette! :) The weather has definitely turned now though and it's been a bit of a shock to the system.

The local weathermen say that almost all of the 10 warmest Octobers on record were followed by snowier than usual winters. That, combined with a moderate El Nina in the Pacific (which generally generates snowy winters for us) indicate this winter could be rough... :ack:
Someday I'll finally be able to drive my Vette, but for now I'll just admire all the pieces... :willy:

Well, it looks like winter has finally arrived. We're getting our first accumulating snow today - 4 to 8 inches predicted.

I spent the day getting my plow hooked up and then resolving a few wiring issues I've been putting off. Figured I better get it straightened out or I'll be shoveling all this snow. :ack:

I miss summer already :willy:

We ended up with 6" overnight. They say more is on the way Tuesday. I think it's going to be a long winter. :ack:

Our tomato plants keeled over sometime back in late September.

We just had a wicked string of cold weather. We got snow and freezing rain two weeks ago. I had literally a 1/4" of ice covering the entire drivers side of my daily driver. I didn't dare scrape it off because I didn't want to scratch the paint. The problem is we didn't have a single day with above freezing temperatures until yesterday so the ice never melted off. It was pretty annoying having a sheet of ice stuck to the side of my car all week. It ended up covered with road grime and looked like sh*t.

They say more snow and freezing rain is showing up Friday into Saturday. More snow is possible on Christmas. I guess we're paying for that really warm fall we had. :ack:
