Re: 71 Sees Daylight After 21 Years!

Looks great. I agree that cradle is pretty nice, I can tell lots of work went into that. Gary up in CT is pretty awesome, he did my trailing arms. I ended up calling him before sending my stuff out and he walked me through the entire process of rebuilding them and even sent some photos of the rebui...

Re: Jokes

I LIKE IT!

They say that eating healthy, exercising, and avoiding alcohol will allow you to live longer, but that type of boring life is analagous to being able to stay at Disneyland for more time but all the rides will be closed!

Re: 71 Sees Daylight After 21 Years!

Holly Crap Batman, that is one awesome cradle! Sell the plans on eBay! Thanks, I got the idea from someone else on the CF forum. Sure makes more room in the garage. You didn't do wrong by having a pro do some of the work. I've been doing that on both cars. I remind myself, that I might be a...

Re: 71 Sees Daylight After 21 Years!

Well, it's well past time for an update, but there's not a whole heck of a lot to tell. Haven't worked on the car much due to various reasons such as 1) busy skiing, 2) too cold to paint/rust-proof parts outside and worried about harmful fumes/vapors doing that in the heated garage, 3) built a new b...

Re: 71 Sees Daylight After 21 Years!

The builder used thick gaskets to get the needed clearance on the valve covers. Eventually, I will get taller covers - something nice to replace the "boring" stock covers. :ack: I did that originally on my 350. Worked OK but I always carried a spare set of thick valve cover gaskets IN THE CAR. If y...

Re: '65 Coupe Resto-Mod and '68 Full Custom Restoration

I certainly wish you luck in getting your vent window issues resolved so it's easier for you in the future along with a good water/wind seal. I agreee that the C2 does look better w/o the vent window, just like Bill Mitchell's car. The pics of your beauty that you showed 6 post previously look even ...

Re: Hi from the MS Gulf Coast Home of "Cruzin' the Coast"

Welcome! That's quite a vette history you have going there; sounds like you're not done adding to the stable list yet either. I got my first and only, a '71 coupe 350/270 4spd, in 1971 and am in the midst of a body off resto. Please grace us with some photos in the future...
