Re: Jokes

:agree: My wife and I were talking tonight about what a disappointing year this has been. I think so many of us were looking forward to getting back to normal after the craziness that was 2020. It feels like this year is even worse - there's the expectation of semi-normalcy and sanity, but it just r...

That's awesome, it's been so long since you've been fighting with that weatherstripping. And so quick too! I can only imagine how happy you must be to have cleared that hurdle.

Any to have the shop only 2 miles down the road from your house. What a small world!

Re: 71 Sees Daylight After 21 Years!

My project started September 23, 2005. Over 16 years ago, it's crazy to think about. Sadly, I've had too many years in the mix where I wasn't able to make reasonable progress. Someday I'll finish, but it might be another 10 or 15 years when I have time after I've retired! :ack:

It's always something. I think the Corvette restoration hobby contributes significantly to keeping beer companies in business.

I'm a bit late, but congrats on your retirement! Hawaii is definitely a pretty good place to wrap it up. Hopefully you took a few days to enjoy it. I've never been but have heard Hawaii is amazing.

Looking forward to seeing some update pics of your progress.

Re: 71 Sees Daylight After 21 Years!

Looks great. I agree that cradle is pretty nice, I can tell lots of work went into that. Gary up in CT is pretty awesome, he did my trailing arms. I ended up calling him before sending my stuff out and he walked me through the entire process of rebuilding them and even sent some photos of the rebuil...

That window installation procedure is nuts! Thankfully you had someone to call to ask. Imagine if you had to figure this out on your own! :scrazy:

Hope the actual install goes as well as the test run with your old glass.

Re: '65 Coupe Resto-Mod and '68 Full Custom Restoration

If I want another restored car, I will buy it complete!!! :agree: And you'll save a hell of a lot of money in the process! LOL LOL LOL At least you're in the home stretch. I've gained a real appreciation for how many little parts and pieces go into a car like this. And, like you, I've learned that ...
