Re: '65 Coupe Resto-Mod and '68 Full Custom Restoration

I called Kerry at Jamison's to ask him about the window glass install. I told him I had to order the glass from Corvette Central and it may be undersized, and I was concerned about the tape that holds the glass to the window bracket. He said he rarely has any trouble with Corvette Central's glass, a...

Re: '65 Coupe Resto-Mod and '68 Full Custom Restoration

Had a big surprise Saturday afternoon. Opened the front door to take the wife out to brunch and this big box was there. Being confused, as I didn't expect anything, I looked at the address and it was for me, but I didn't recognize the sender. I took it into the house and opened the top...

I've gained a real appreciation for how many little parts and pieces go into a car like this.
And the smaller they are, the more they seem to cost!

Re: '65 Coupe Resto-Mod and '68 Full Custom Restoration

Spent most of yesterday cleaning the 2001 Vette for the Mustang vs Corvette car show at Quaker Steak & Lube which was held today. Lots of work. :scrazy: Cleaned every microbe of the car, inside, outside and engine compartment. It looks better today than it did brand new! Not bad for 20 year...

Re: '65 Coupe Resto-Mod and '68 Full Custom Restoration

Yea! Vent Window Parts are here!! :Hurray: Forgot to mention, even though they said a person 21 years old or greater with a photo ID needed to sign for it, they knocked on my door, when I answered he asked me my name (I could have given him any name) and he left. No signature, no ID, no nothing. Gre...

Re: '65 Coupe Resto-Mod and '68 Full Custom Restoration

Looks like I was right about how long it would take to get to St. Pete. 2 hours and 45 minutes. It arrived at the St. Pete location at 8:29 AM and they say it left there on a delivery truck at 8:49, just 20 minutes later. Might be on a special truck, seeing it was so late getting here. Now we just w...

Re: '65 Coupe Resto-Mod and '68 Full Custom Restoration

It looks like FedEx is up to their crap again! :bang: Last Friday, I had been watching the tracking info, and it said it was received in New Jersey on the 9th @ 2:40 PM and left NJ at 1:12 AM on the 10th. After that, NO tracking updates, but it said the arrival would be on the 13th (yesterday) befor...

Re: '65 Coupe Resto-Mod and '68 Full Custom Restoration

In line with this car coming with all the wrong parts, Charlie mentioned that one of my regulators had 2 grooves in the shaft and the other had 3 grooves. I thought it might have meant right and left. While I was looking into window glass on Corvette Central, I discovered from their photos the regul...

Re: '65 Coupe Resto-Mod and '68 Full Custom Restoration

I wanted to get a money order and send it out Saturday, so I went around the corner where there is an AMSCOT, as they offer free money orders, as long as you are not paying with a check. Got the cash and went to get one. :) They said because it was over $1000.00, they needed more info. :skep: They w...
