Hi nomadhermet, nomadhermet wrote:Hello I noticed all three of your float bowls have accelerator pump flanges on them. the 2 outside do not use a accelerator pump and open on vacuum. I don't know but are they the right float bowls and could the leak be from the circuit that supplies fuel to the accelerator pumps from the float bowls.
Hey TIm, yep - the gaskets are good. But what stuns me most is the amount of fuel that leaks! There's a major mop-up session shortly after cranking the engine (with coil disconnected) to get the fuel up to the carbs etc.MaineVette wrote:That's too bad their still leaking. Are your gaskets good? If the mating surfaces are flat (4 thousandth's is pretty flat) and the gaskets are good it seems like they shouldn't be leaking. I'd try a new set of gaskets before giving up.
