Tell us about your Corvette: 1974 base model. Mostly original but far from perfect. Been working on it for better part of 7 years. Body has been removed from chassis, chassis repaired and restored. Working on the mechanicals of the chassis as time/money allows.

Back in the day GM used to bring out the new models in September...and usually begin building in August...always! So with that being said, anything built between August of '71 and January of '72 should be considered an early model, between February '72 and July '72' would be considered late model. But there are always those cars in between, like Vito's, where you have a mix of parts that overlap a couple of model years. The door tag should have the build date, if the door tag is still there..
