Glad to see someone else got some use out of the plans for that lifting rack. In hindsight I would have added some braces like you did too. What, if anything, did you do to brace the rack from moving laterally? I ended up just tying mine off to my garage door supports. Two chain falls off the 4" x 4" lifting beam... the one in front hooked with straps to the front member assembly that the radiator support bolts to, the other one hooked with straps to the four seat belt mounting points with forged eye bolts. I did not use a support beam above the car or any bracing inside the car. YMMV of course... good luck!
