71 Convertible - Body Brace? BOdy lift support?

Post by Joeglia » Jul 4th, 2014 11:32 am

I have just purchased a 71 convertible and the body is just resting on the frame. From what I have researched so far, I need to create a brace of sorts inside the car to keep the body from shifting. Can someone share some thoughts on where the brace should attach? I saw one on the internet that went through the windshield but I have my windshield in place and did not plan to remove it. I also saw another youtube video where they welded together a steel box but I could not see where they connected it to the body. Thoughts, photo's , tips, tricks on this topic are much appreciated. I am going to build the body dolly shortly but want to brace the body first. Thanks
