Hi, I am currently working on a 62' full restoration and could use some help on dismantling the front spindles.

Sorry for not replying sooner. The threaded pins that retain the king pin are being a pain to get out. I think they should press out by pressing on the threaded end?

The last time that I did kingpins was in 71, so I didn't remember. Looking at parts online, its a small pin with a flat side machined on it and a nut on one end, couldn't tell if it was tapered looking at parts. Remove the nut and then use a brass pin and knock it out. Do this from the nut end. More than likely it is steel so it could be stuck. You can get stainless replacements for it. have fun.

Thanks. Those are the original so they must be rusted really well. I'll give it another try.
