Just another thought: Would it be easier still to just have the supplier cut the whole lower windshield frame from the donor birdcage (including the center horizontal portion and both pass & driver corners) as a single unit and reinstall that on my car?

Hi Bob, yeah I'm not too concerned about the valve differences since I plan to have the engine completely rebuilt. As for the exhaust manifold, I am considering switching to headers, especially for the sound and somewhat for the performance gains, but am worried about increased heat in the cockpit. ...

I too wish mine was a vert, with a LT-1 or big block too. But I'll "settle" for my base 4-speed coupe. I just hope that one day I'll get her back on the road again.
