Re: C-3 with LS engine

What do forum members think of low profile tyres on a C3?

Aesthetically I am all for it. I would go for a set of spoked wheels though.

Re: retaining bolt for spare wheel holder

Hi, Thanks for that, I came to the same conclusion after finding that if the captive nut is in the chassis cross member the bolt cannot engage correctly with the wheel carrier. It looks like the hole in the chassis cross member is there to ensure that the bolt can only disengage from the wheel carri...

retaining bolt for spare wheel holder

Hi,

The captive nut for the rearmost bolt on my spare wheel holder is no longer captive! Can anyone post a pic showing its precise location. -not sure if sits in the chassis cross member or the 'c' shaped piece of steel that is bolted to the chassis cross member. I will have to make up a new one.

Re: Rocker channels

I realize there are slight differences between pre and post '72 birdcages as per Tim's birdcage restoration piece. Would a post '72 birdcage fit a '72? would modifications be necessary for a correct fit or only desirable for originality?

Re: 350 Engine rebuild

Hello Pumba,

It would be great to drop round and stick my nose into the guts of your 350. I really just want to visualize whats inside mine. Please check your private messages.

Cheers

Re: carburetor setup

carb is a rochester 4mv It takes a few seconds to pick up again after bogging at full throttle. Not sure what you mean by vacuum or mechanical secondary... for certain I need to do some study to fill the gaping holes in my knowledge. The distributor is an aftermarket mallory with no vacuum advance. ...

carburetor setup

Hi, My sb '72 has had the pollution control equipment removed. How should the carburetor be set up in order to take this into account? The motor will accelerate hard up to a point at which it 'bogs' (sounds bad, stops pulling). Valve and base ignition timing are correct. (I have not checked rpm at w...
