Re: '65 Coupe Resto-Mod and '68 Full Custom Restoration

Well,, put on the zuit-suit this morning and ground away all the areas needed to close in the ventilation door opening. Turned out to be pretty easy once I got all the wires out of the way. Ground all the broken glass away and cleaned up the filler piece I had made. The long screw is a handle for me...

Re: Hi from Northern Kentucky

Hi Paul, welcome to the forum. Two or three of our Corvette Club members are from Kentucky. They are here all winter and most of the spring and fall. They are all definitely in Kentucky around Derby time every year! I can't see the photos either. 1000 hp ... Holy crap Batman!! Is the 1K hp engine fo...

Re: new member

I have a '95 Targa Top. a '68 convertible and a '65 coupe. Like the '65 coupe a lot, but still really enjoy driving the '68 with the top down, or at least I will once it's resto is finished. the most until returning home to Florida. Now I like the '65 coupe with air. '95 is not my best choice of all...

Re: '65 Coupe Resto-Mod and '68 Full Custom Restoration

Several weeks ago I did a leak test on the new windshield after it was re-installed, and found it still leaked on the drivers side, but not on the Passenger side. I did several smaller tests, where I used paper towels and plastic to isolate sections of the windshield to try and localize the leak. I ...

Re: Berrrrr. Thats cold

It's been in the 90's here all fall so far. Today it went into the mid 80's at last. Charleston trip is now Nov 15th, as they are going to the SEMA convention in Las Vegas. Looks like I may get about 3 weeks of nice working weather to get it as ready as I can, then have them finish everything up and...

Re: Automatic Transmission on a corvette 70

What do you mean by Mounting Brackets? Do you mean the transmission mount? If so, Eckler's has them. If you mean the brackets that hold the cross-member to the frame, that is a different story! Paragon has them.

Re: Radiator recomendations

I have a 1968 convertible, no air 4 speed which had a 350/370 LT-1 engine installed in it for years. With the stock factory aluminium radiator, I never had cooling problems, in fact, in Connecticut, I needed to block off part of the radiator in the winter, as the engine would barely reach normal ope...

Re: '65 Coupe Resto-Mod and '68 Full Custom Restoration

Well, the trip to Charleston is just over 3 weeks away now. Sure hope nothing fouls this one up. They say the third time is a charm, and I am counting on it. Got my new tires mounted on my newly powder coated wheels and back on the trailer, so once I charge the brake battery, it should be ready to g...

Re: Berrrrr. Thats cold

Didn't come anywhere near us, but it did come close enough to Charleston to delay my trip to get the '65 painted. Going up the week of Oct 15th now.
