Re: 71 Sees Daylight After 21 Years!

It's been over a month and the project work continues! I'm finally back to post some photos (if I can remember how!). So, the last pics I posted were of the fiasco I had trying to get that one exhaust manifold off the engine. I finally used an air chisel to chip away at the outer edge of the subject...

Re: Veterans' Service Records

When I first saw this, I thought that if I live to be older than 103, my SSAN will be out there for any scammer to abuse. However, reading further it looks like they'd need my service number & name to request the records in the first place, so really there'd be no harm in that regard. But, it still ...

Re: 1972 BB Convertible in Atomic Orange Color

Which cable Vito? The front one (from the handle) or the rear one (brake to brake)?

Paragon says the front one is 29 5/16" long.

Corvette Central says the rear one is 88" long.

Re: '65 Coupe Resto-Mod and '68 Full Custom Restoration

All are good points Bob, ones I had overlooked just for the convenience of having the handle & wheels to push it around and get it into the initial position without have to get down on hands & knees.

Re: '65 Coupe Resto-Mod and '68 Full Custom Restoration

That's pretty neat Bob. Not sure if it's for me, but if anyone else is interested here's a link for something similar with wheels and a handle for $129 with free shipping. Lift is 15.75 inches. amazon.com/6600-Triple-Jack-Extended-Handle/dp/B07892HR58/ref=sr_1_19?crid=B4HWNLAS1LWK&dchild=1&keywords=...

Re: 71 Sees Daylight After 21 Years!

Just a quick update from WA...I am finally back to work on the corvette while I'm mostly adhereing to our COVID-19 stay-at-home orders. Not much flying for me to do with most of our airliners parked, so I found a productive way to bid the free time. After the basement refinishing and getting all the...

Welcome! That's quite a sweet ride. From the looks of it, you probably won't be needing much of the restoration info on this forum for quite a while...

Re: '65 Coupe Resto-Mod and '68 Full Custom Restoration

Bob, I know Van Steel is just down the road from you. Have you used any of their rebuild services or can you comment on the same? I'm looking to get my control arms, trailing arms, wheel bearings and steering box worked on since I'm not sure I have the necessary knowledge, experience and tools to do...
