I completed painting the 72 and started the color sanding. The LT1 car has what is called a big block hood. There are no engine numbers on the hood only a decal for the LT1. spi makes a red that looked like coke cola red to me. I have been told red reflects real good for radar guns. just saying.

I have never used spi others have and said berry will help with any problems with his product. I,m waiting for the temp to go under 100 in California or my paint will be powder coat dried before reaching surface. I ,m using a slow reducer so I need surface and air temp under 80 so I will be spraying...

P.S The single throttle return spring can brake and the center carb will go wide open leaving you to turn off ignition to stop over rev. Summet and most performance parts supplier offer 2 springs a inter and outer. If you have hydraulic lifters you go to valve float, with solids you go to ?

Hello I noticed all three of your float bowls have accelerator pump flanges on them. the 2 outside do not use a accelerator pump and open on vacuum. I don't know but are they the right float bowls and could the leak be from the circuit that supplies fuel to the accelerator pumps from the float bowls.
