Current state in the process. The black undercoating thick junk, is proving to be a formidable opponent. Sanding it seems to be the only thing to remove it.

Your firewall looks great. The cakes on stuff is coming off with a sander. Was it just a process of time to get it out of the nooks and crannies?

Hey all long time between efforts on this. Question? I’ve cleaned the engine bay with degreaser, and will do that another dozen or so times to get it as clean as possible. I slit the lid of my can with a straight slot screwdriver, then each time I use it I pour it out and use a piece of aluminum tape to seal. I gently spin the can to mix. Has lasted me 1.5 years so far. No problems with it hardening inside the can either.

Coming back to the forum. I did end up doing the frame first. I also am nearing the rolling chassis milestone. Currently working on those pesky rear trailing arms. Will post some up dated pics of the chassis soon.

I do believe as close as I could tell three shims per 2,3 left and right but 1,4 were shot

Shims and shiminy shimeroo
While pulling the body off the shims were so badly deteriorated I couldn't mark exactly how many were on each body mount. When I decide to drop the body back on how do it reshim it?
