Re: Cleaning the firewall

Current state in the process. The black undercoating thick junk, is proving to be a formidable opponent. Sanding it seems to be the only thing to remove it.

Re: Cleaning the firewall

Your firewall looks great. The cakes on stuff is coming off with a sander. Was it just a process of time to get it out of the nooks and crannies?

Cleaning the firewall

Hey all long time between efforts on this. Question? I’ve cleaned the engine bay with degreaser, and will do that another dozen or so times to get it as clean as possible. I wondered about the built up crusty stuff around the Openings between the engine bay and the interior it looks like a sealer. W...

Re: Por-15 Paint for the Chassis

I slit the lid of my can with a straight slot screwdriver, then each time I use it I pour it out and use a piece of aluminum tape to seal. I gently spin the can to mix. Has lasted me 1.5 years so far. No problems with it hardening inside the can either.

Re: Shims and shiminy shimeroo

Love that movie, great great period of time.
I do believe as close as I could tell three shims per 2,3 left and right but 1,4 were shot

Shims and shiminy shimeroo

While pulling the body off the shims were so badly deteriorated I couldn't mark exactly how many were on each body mount. When I decide to drop the body back on how do it reshim it?
