A couple weeks late, but Happy New Years all!
I'm certainly glad to see 2020 in the rearview mirror. Hoping 2021 turns it around for us!

So how'd the trip up to Charleston go? You always manage to come back with some good stories. Hopefully everything went smoothly.
Oh, and we need pics!

Glad to hear your thoughts on the differences between the windshields on a C2 and a C3. Yours sounds to be a nightmare! Thanks!

Re: Project update
any updates MaineVette? Life continues to get in the way of my project, but back at it again recently now that it is summer Sadly, no updates to report. Between selling our old house, moving to a rental for a few years, building a new house, and now trying to get settled, work on the Vette has come...

Re: Major DIY restoration
Welcome to the forum! Most folks here on the forum have lifted the body from their cars as part of their projects. I documented my body lift on my website here. It's a 71 but the process is pretty much the same. http://www.corvette-restoration.com/2005/09/23/body-lift-let-the-restoration-begin/ Lift...

It won't be long now... That write-up for windshield installation will be helpful for me. Putting the windshield in my 71 is on my short-list of things to tackle. There's nobody around here that I'd trust to put the windshield in either so mine will be a DIY job. Can't wait to see your cars finished...

Re: 71 Sees Daylight After 21 Years!
You did better rebuilding your rag joint than I did. It looks good. I ordered a rebuild kit online a few years ago and couldn't figure out for the life of me how the pieces were supposed to go together. I'm still convinced they sent me the wrong kit or something. After a few hours of messing around ...

Re: L-88 Garage Find
Others on here will be better at seeing if all the numbers match and determining what's what (I'm not an NCRS guy), but that's a pretty neat find! Very cool.

Re: master cylinder for hydraulic clutch
That seems expensive for a stock master cylinder. Is the cylinder different than stock? That price is probably for a brand new unit. Remanufactured are less - in the range of $100-$200. Check out Ecklers, Paragon, or another Corvette Parts house. Good luck!
