Re: 1972 BB Convertible in Atomic Orange Color

During my resto on my custom '68 I looked all over hell and high water for one, could not find one that was worth looking at. Even Lectric Limited will not sell just the box. I would ask yourself the question though, if you need a new fuse box, it's probably due to corrosion, and the corrosion prob...

Re: Removing the front clip

Glad to hear you're back at it. I will admit, when I read your post and viewed the damage, I was concerned that it was all over and we wouldn't hear from you again. I expected my 69 to take a couple of years to complete and that is just now going to be the case! It's seems the truly dedicated belong...

Re: Looking for some advice - blowing out fuel lines

I just hope clrayjr returns with an update, and yes, if the fuel-lines are stainless steel they've been changed but may need cleaned or replaced. OP could also setup a gravity feed directly to the carb if he just wanted to start it, he'll just need to be real careful...

Re: Looking for some advice - blowing out fuel lines

If the fuel lines sat with gas in them for 23 years - its most likely clogged with varnish and corrosion (suggest Replacement). Loosen the fuel line going to the gas tank at the fuel pump, see if you have good steady gravity fuel flow from the tank. If you don't, slightly pressurize the fuel tank at...

Re: Made contact with the last owner - 1987 photo

Cool  I tried to make contact as well with the original owner but no go. He passed away 4 years ago. 2nd owner had a construction company and went belly up during the financial crash of 2008. I bought the car for half price of what he paid 2 years earlier :D It's easy to imagine the fun the p...

Re: 1972 BB Convertible in Atomic Orange Color

Interesting, but COOL :) Kind of a nerdy question, are you going to make a maintenance/repair manual for the mods you've made? I think I will make one for the mods on my time sucking restoration! Yup, got everything here in a box, I put it in a folder when I am done with it. I one thing that I wish ...
