68 seat covers
Anyone know where I can find some slip on seat covers for a 68'. All the covers I can find are at best for 69' and up with the head rest. cant afford a redo of the seats so a pair of slip ons are my most affordable option.

68' seats
My seats need to be redone. I have seen a video on DIY installation. I do most of the mechanical repairs on my vette but I'm not sure how difficult doing seats would be. The covers and foam are expensive enough and I was quoted $350 locally for installing. Anyone with opinions or experience doing th...

wheel weights?

Got home and tried to put rims back on but some of the wheel weights are in the way rim clips now. Can i pull the weights off and use adhesive backed weights more inward on the wheel and stil...

tires fo 68'
I am planning on replacing my old tires. I want the raised white letters so whats available out there is pretty limited. T/As or cooper cobra GT (mickey thompson has some but I heard the lettering is rather small). I have read mixed reviews on both these tires. Any opinions /suggestions on RWL tires...

Re: Low vacuum
After months I believe I have located my vacuum/idling problem. Since my 68 has a stock intake manifold there is a three layer gasket set up between the carb and the manifold. when I removed the carb yesterday I noticed the lower high temp composite gasket was burned/degraded at the center. It turns...

68 rear defroster
My rear defroster on my 68 is not operating. The 3 amp fuse was found blown and replaced but the motor still does not run. From the switch it has 2 purple wires and a yellow wire that has an the inline fuse. Checking my shop manual shows no sign of a rear defroster or any wiring diagram for it. Any ...

Re: Low vacuum
Thanks for the reply's. i have been chasing this down for awhile now. I have put a vacuum on the dist advance and it does not seem to leak also when I plug it off there is no real change in engine vacuum. I would have thought that during timing the engine I would have seen a fluctuation in the vacuu...

Low vacuum
My 68 327 is pulling 10 on my vacuum gauge. I have done all the checks I can think of to locate any possible leaks including propane and carb cleaner as will as smoke. Still cant find the problem. vacuum gauge suggests late valve timing or leak at intake manifold. What is late valve timing and how d...
